Student Well Being

At Annunciation we strive to develop the ‘whole person’.  We recognize that children who are happy, confident and able to establish meaningful relationships are better placed to achieve positive learning outcomes.

We aim to provide a safe and effective environment that contributes to positive learning outcomes and the wellbeing of students, staff and the broader community. With the introduction of EXCEL (a student wellbeing tool) we consistently seek links between wellbeing and learning to ensure students have a positive self-efficacy to build upon.

The wellbeing of our students is central to all decisions and at Annunciation we have processes and programs in place that promote positive mindsets. These include:

  • Respectful Relationship program taught in every class (weekly)
  • Student wellbeing Leader who leads professional learning
  • Leadership programs for older students
  • NCCD Data collected and analyzed to ensure all students’ needs are met
  • Data used consistently to make links between wellbeing and learning
  • Participation in the Visible Learning project to promote positive mindsets
  • Outside resources utilized to help students at risk (emotionally and academically)
